I was excited to discover a new pizza place in the neighborhood. The area has such a nice atmosphere, and I was genuinely hoping that if the pizza was good, I could stop by แƒฎแƒจแƒ˜แƒ แƒแƒ“ while out for walks. Unfortunately, the moment I walked into the shop, I had a feeling my expectations were going to be disappointed. There were at least eight pizzas sitting in the display case, and every single one was completely cold, with the cheese hardened and turned white. It looked like they had been sitting there for quite a long time without any customers. To keep it simple, I bought just one slice of plain cheese pizza. I took it home and reheated it in the oven right away. It wasnโ€™t completely inedible, which is the only reason Iโ€™m giving it two stars. The dough was overly salty and left a bitter aftertaste. The sauce was so unpleasant that I honestly found myself wondering what brand they use. There was absolutely no flavor or richness from the cheese eitherโ€”just an overall bitter and unpleasant taste. Honestly, even if it were free, I donโ€™t think I would eat it again. Such a disappointment, especially because I was really hoping this could become a regular stop during my walks around the

Honestly, this was a huge disappointment. I ordered a Caesar slice, and for some reason it was extremely hot. The guy even whispered something to the cashier who handed it to me. When I asked if everything was okay, she said, "Yeah, it's the perfect temperature." It wasn't. It tasted bad, and after a couple of bites, I threw it away. I told them about it, and they just nodded. I then ordered a Grandma slice and paid for it. Ironically, that one was cold. The whole experience made me feel like I was being pranked or something.

The capital of Forest Hills Gardens should be this pizzeria. Itโ€™s long and narrow, with industrial-style multi-arm fixtures that use exposed Edison bulbs to bring about a peaceful ambiance. It then opens up to a den full of miniature paintings of Italian cities and countryside. While reading, I ate their excellent mushroom pizza as the speakers filled the room with a melancholy ditty that Shazam says is by someone named Taylor Swift. This brick-clad abode sits under the imperial Tudor-revival style train station. I returned the next day and ate their penne marinara with mushrooms while reading an excellent biography of Indian film director Satyajit Ray. I am delighted at being single after eavesdropping on a kvetching couple of a certain age. Women put up with too much with argumentative men. Substack link in profile.

I have been to the Forest Hills and Station Square area many times before but never noticed this pizzeria, so they must have opened recently. Prices were really reasonable. I walked in with my brother after work yesterday and we got a slice of the Grandma Pesto, Spicy Vodka, Turkey Bacon Chicken Ranch, and Pepperoni, and honestly, they were all exceptional. Unfortunately I didn't really get any photos, was too busy eating, I have had a lot of pizza in my life, but no lie, this might be some of the best I have ever had. The Spicy Vodka slice was SO GOOD, almost life changing because the sauce was so flavorful and clear without being overpowering. I also really appreciated that they use turkey bacon instead of regular bacon. It gave the slice all the flavor without that heavy, greasy feeling you usually get with pork bacon. The pizza guys were super friendly too, which made the experience even better. Next time I am definitely trying the pasta since it looks like they make it fresh right in front of you, which is pretty awesome. Highly recommend this new spot. Forest Hills just got a serious pizza upgrade. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ”ฅ
